The Goals
When Luke first moved into one of our empowered living spaces, he had a clear vision for what he wanted to achieve.
His goals were centred around:
building a healthy routine
getting out into the community every day
prioritising his mental wellbeing
How We Supported Luke Reach These Goals
Fast forward to today, and Luke has made incredible progress.
Community Access continues to play an important role in his everyday life, helping him stay connected, build confidence and enjoy new experiences. What began as a goal has now become part of his daily routine.
With that strong foundation in place, Luke has set his sights on an exciting new chapter… employment.
He's currently working towards securing a casual job, with the first steps already underway. Together, we've been supporting him through the practical side of the journey, including applying for his birth certificate so he can obtain a Tax File Number and begin applying for work opportunities.
Alongside these goals, Luke remains committed to looking after his mental and physical wellbeing, recognising that good health is the key to continuing his independence.

Highlighting the Wins at Koiop Connect
One of the highlights of recent weeks came during our morning tea, where Luke had the opportunity to see a video of himself featured on the big screen as part of our brand refresh celebrations. Watching his journey shared with the wider Koiop Connect community was a proud moment, not only for Luke, but for everyone who has supported him along the way including House Manger, Deb.
Luke's story is a reminder that progress isn't always measured by big milestones alone. Sometimes, it's the consistency of showing up each day, taking the next step towards a goal, and having the right people beside you that makes all the difference.
We're incredibly proud of everything Luke has achieved so far and can't wait to see what comes next as he continues to grow in confidence, independence and opportunity.
